Hot on the heels of the highly successful IRON MAN, Marvel Studios tells the story of physicist Bruce Banner, a man on the run with a secret that could destroy us all, or be our only hope. From director Louis Leterrier (THE TRANSPORTER) and starring Edward Norton (THE ILLUSIONIST), this pulse-pounding film is enhanced by a truly remarkable score from critically acclaimed composer Craig Armstrong. After gaining the attention of film-goers everywhere for his work on WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S ROMEO + JULIET with internationally acclaimed director Baz Luhrmann, Armstrong re-teamed with Luhrmann on MOULIN ROUGE and was showered with awards including AFI's Composer of the Year, a Golden Globe for Best Original Score of the Year and a BAFTA for Achievement in Film Music. Craig Armstrong recorded his first Classical record for EMI Classics France with the BBC Symphony Orchestra for a 2008 release, which includes a violin concerto for Clio Gould. Mr. Armstrong also teaches at the Royal Academy of Music London. He now brings his considerable talents to the newest release from Marvel Studios.

This moving score features the memorable music that accompanies the films eye-popping fights and its jaw-dropping climax. This score also contains a treasured piece from the Hulk's history: "The Lonely Man" theme as interpreted by Armstrong. Originally used in the popular television show, this song harkens back to the conflict and isolation felt by the film's central hero, a theme echoed throughout the Hulk's 40-year history.

An epic comic book character deserves an epic movie score, and Craig Armstrong delivers the goods and them some.Highly recommended. I was rather surprised to find a song on this CD (entitled "The Arctic") which wasn't part of the film, and that little bonue track made the whole album such a pleasure to listen to.Considering that the 2008 film is a loving shout-out to the classic 1970's-era TV series, I thought it was such a nice touch that Joe Harnell's theme for the TV show was incorporated into the orchestral score with great effect.There are 57 minutes of music on each CD, and that gives you a little over 2 hours of marvelous movie music. I just finished listening to Craig Armstrong's score for 2008's "The Incredible Hulk", and all I can say is. WOW.First of all, you get quite a bit of music on this album, and even though it's on CD-R's instead of the traditional factory made CD's, please don't let that deter you from buying this soundtrack.

Recommended. Good movie, good music. Excellent soundtrack. They picked the best music out of the film.

I really enjoyed the music in this soundtrack, the piano work is a nice homage to the series, as well.

There are several high points to the score and for the soundtrack afficionado it is highly recommended. A superb score to a movie that was surprisingly well done. Craig Armstrong infuses a fresh approach to the "reworking" of this story with fine results.

Armstrong has included the classic "Lonely Man" theme from the TV series. I also love that Mr. Craig Armstrong deserves to win the Oscar for Incredible Hulk. The music in this film really captures the sadness of Bruce Banner's plight.
